allelujia, baby

The bound galleys of BLOODANGEL landed on my doorstep yesterday, along with a note from my editor that said, Can you give me allelujia?

The book is already published in Germany — as BLOOD ANGEL by Justine Wilson — and I have a bunch of the German editions, of which I can’t read a word, but I do like the cover — so I actually thought I was a bit more jaded than I actually am, that holding the rough version, the pre-novel of the novel, wouldn’t pack the emotional wallop that it did. But to see your manuscript turned into an actual book (or pre-book) complete with all the publisher info and copyright stuff and dedication page (For Elon) and the title and subtitle pages with their cute gothic lettering — it’s pretty wild. Not to mention intensely addictive.
