*Have you read Cormier, THE CHOCOLATE WAR and BEYOND THE CHOCOLATE WAR? If not, you should. You really should. He created one of my favorite villians of all time — a blond schoolboy named Archie — I named my own villian in my upcoming YA novel STRANGER in homage to Cormier’s (I made him blond, as well, but that had more to do with my interest at the time in singer Marty Casey. I also used some of Casey’s clothes, which seemed oddly appropriate for the character.)
