This is the opening of a newspaper piece from the Toronto Star (or maybe the Globe and Mail):
Greyhound has scrapped an ad campaign that extolled the relaxing upside of bus travel after one of its passengers was accused of beheading and cannibalizing another traveler.
I mean, what can you say to that? When “Canada”, “beheading and cannibalizing” and “Greyhound ad campaign” get put in the same sentence, you know the apocalypse has got to be coming.
The ad’s tag line was “There’s a reason you’ve never heard of ‘bus rage.'”
Tomorrow I bet there will be a story about some nice midwestern town getting overrun by a pack of wild man-eating chihuahuas or something.
It’s always the cute little ones you have to watch out for.
